Unidentified relay

Dear fellows,
I need your help to find the use of the relay that lay left of the brake pedal. I post 2 photos to make it easy :shock:
My car is a W461, 290 gdt, LHD, 1999

Hello Angelos,

Although, I honestly do not not for sure what this relay is, I would suggest giving the part number showing, to your local m/benz dealer and ask them to identify this for you, remember to take your vehicle details, i.e. chassis number with you, because without this number, they are lost!

But, what is interesting for me, is the twisted wire loom to the relay, this sugguests to me the part could be related to a brake assist function if your vehicle is fiitted with it.
