Myself and he who knows infinitely more about engines are now starting to rebuild my wee 460's engine having gathered the various parts.

He asked me to get do's and don'ts particularly on fitting the timing chain and fitting the piston ring squeezers.

Is it worth my while to buy the CD Engine Repair Manuals as on
http://www.4x4abc.com/G-Class/engines.html

Has anyone used the engine manuals and are they worthwhile.

Alternatively is there a link in the forum to a topic such as this.

Cheers

Myles

Hi Myles if it is a 300GD it should be an OM 617-931 or 2... 5 cylinder normally aspirated engine...what questions do you need answered ? ...
