injector pump problem :(
i have changed oil&fuel filters yesterday then i tried to get rid of air from the fuel system by using manual pump on the injector but diesel strarted to come out of the manual pump (a lot of it) :shock: any ideas why?
is there any seals that i can change to sort it out or is the whole thing broken :cry:
and i was planning to go to the mountains today :cry: for a picnic and some off roading

You manual pump is kaputt but don't dispair: there is an aftermaket version that costs peanuts and replacing it is as simple as unscrewing the old one and screwing the new one.
You need to go to a good auto factor and order an air bleeding manual pump for the Bosch injection pump fitted to a OM616 or OM617 engine, as fitted to the W123 range of Mercedes saloons.

there is one more thing bothers me now
theres a lot of oil where it came out from, i mean inside the pump
is that normal?
That looks like a Bosch part number.
But it doesn't need to be a Bosch pump.
As to the oil... are you sure it wasn't dried diesel?
well it it black and it is thick it should be oil
should i be scared?
got the new pump today
its a bosch again
which cost 8,90 gbp
will fit it today after i cut the new seals for the whole pump
just foud out that they sell it for $31 at eurotruck-importers.com
