Puerto de la Quesera 4 January 2008.... This time we did it!
Today, I enjoyed one of the most memorable off-road days of my life. It had everything: loads of snow, mud, river crossings, wonderful sights and good company. Just two G-Wagens attempted and succeeded in crossing the Collado de la Quesera, between the provinces of Guadalajara and Segovia in Central Spain.

Enjoy!
PS: The lanky guy is my just 13-year old son, Guillermo, that some of you guys will remember from many GWOA outings. See picture attached, taken at the GWOA annual meeting in Wiltshire, October 1998. Time flies!

Well guys you are very welcome but bear in mind that that it's got to be in winter. The rest of the year the land might get so dry and the grip so good that driving a G-Wagen off-road gets very boring. But in a cold, wet winter things can get much more exciting as you can imagine....
Rain and snow are extremely difficult to predict. We had no rain whatsoever in october and november and only a little in late december. I think that Rich, Roly and Mark were extremely fortunate in that they got the snow spot on. But you may well plan for months in advance only to find yourself in the middle of a drought with no rain in sight....
