Steering wheel motor

My LHD 2004 G500 has electric position adjustment of the steering wheel (a silly idea in the first place) by lever placed on the bottom LH side of the steering column.
My point: the motor is probably burnt and the steering wheel is stuck at its lowest position. The car is almost undrivable like this.
My question: is there a manual overide so as to manually adjust the steering wheel at a reasonable position until I deal with the electrical problem?
Thanks

Re: Steering wheel motor

Work around would be to unbolt motor .. adjust to where you want it .. and rebolt motor on... sort of a "manual" overide

It might not be the motor, the door control modules and electrics relating to the seats, windows and steering wheel are dodgy to say the least. MB value engineering!
