help.....confused
Fog light is not working.....
but there is 12v at foglight, no open circuit, bulb good, bulb holder good yet still won't light.....help
Its got to be an earth problem ,

ok update....
Ran a new earth cable straight to battery.....nothing.
Left new earth on and put + straight to + batt terminal...light (so earth lead good)
Checked volts at fog light when swithced on 8.8volts? (should have checked across battery but didn't)......would this voltage loss account for bulb not lighting
...this is all thats left between me and an mot arrggghhhh!

a previous owner already has!
I get a resistance of 1 (open) on original wire but new one seems fine 0.3ohms.
Guess I need to run a lead straight back to battery to eleviate earth lead.
as power takes easiest route does this mean I have a short in circuit?
