part number for heater valve.
my G seems to be loosing water from the rad recently and my mechanic found out why :P
its from the rubber pipe (plastic and cracked!!) that connects to the heater valve (round plastic part that has a wire connected to it)for turning up and down the heating.
only problem is that my mechanic advised i get a new valve because it might brake when trying to remove the rubber hose off it :shock:
he said it could be brittle :!: :!:
anyone have a part number please :?:
Hi Hus tell the "mechanic" to make a diagonal incision into the hose with a Stanley knife to relieve the tension on the valve port ..unless he has broken it already !! in which case someone with an EPC for the 460 model G' will be able to help with the part number......
I had a new one of these fitted to my 463.
Cost was £53.32 + VAT
Don't have the part number as my local garage ordered it from MB.
Unfortunatly I now can't get the steel rod to connect with th new valve as I seem to be missing a part.
Anyone have a parts diagram for this bit?
hi the 463 valve is not the same as the 460 valve one is under the dash attached to a bracket and the other is in the engine bay.. the latter one is operated by a "piano wire " type sheathed cable linked to the control in the air mixing panel and travels through the bulkhead to the arm on the valve assembly...the 463 is all under the dash and the linkeage is different .....

You know that without your chassis number it is virtually impossible to tell any part number.....
I can look it up anytime for you but I need your complete VIN....
Shame its not a 463 Chassis number really 8)

The only valve that I could find in the entire heating/ventilation system is number 62 in the attached, whihc is p/n A0008320084.
Check with your MB dealer!
