PTO Gear for G300GE automatic (W461) and G280GE (W460)
Dear all,
We would like to use Winch PTO instead electric winch which driven by shaft to PTO Gear, is there any possibilities that we could buy the PTO Gear which directly match to the transfer case of G300GE automatic (W461) and G280GE (W460) manual gearbox?
If someone knows that there is a supplier for the PTO Gear, we are welcome.

The PTO was only optionally offered as part of the VG80 transfer case so that it can only be fitted to W460/W461 GWagens.
No G300GE was ever offered as a W461, but a W463 so this one cannot be retrofitted with a PTO.
He is in Indonesia where they made all kinds of G oddities.... so it may be possible.

Indonesia or not, the PTO for the V150 transfer case only existed on paper as far as I know. Numerous enquiries with Graz produced a laconic: "we never did it".
But of course I would eat my words I were to be proved wrong!
Klafindo - what is your G - as Morty points out the G300 was only offered as a w463 but you state w461? Can you post a VIN number or photos?

Ian(Peter Perfect) and I fitted one of these PTO units some time ago. In fact it is now fitted to twodogs truck. Fitting the PTO is not straight forward . Once you have removed the transfer box you will have to split the case to remove the primary shaft. On the primary you will find a spacer which you change for a gear, which once reassembled will then mesh with the PTO unit, as you bolt the two sections together.
If you are lucky you may find the transfer box will fit back ok. But it is very tight between the chassis rails.
Don’t be put off, if you have a good understanding of vehicles and take your time you shouldn’t have a problem.
From memory the PTO unit costs about £280 and the replacement gear about £80.

Is it like below attachment, the PTO Gear? This PTO gear for Toyota FJ40.
Another question is, how possible to connect this PTO Gear to automatic gearbox of G300 (W463) built year 1994 or any other automatic replacement?

the PTO is £800 pounds and the gear is that goes on the main shaft is around £90 pounds.
PTO fits to transfer box for 460 and 461 only, not the geabox !!!. Any way you cant get the PTO for the 463 transfer box, they never made one for it.
Wasn't there a story going round that they made one or two for the 463 and they're sitting on a shelf in Gratz :twisted:

well I spent weeks and many phon calls trying to trace the 463 PTO as its clearly shown in the 463 manual. but they say (graz) that they never manufactured one, but hey who knows. :roll:
The 711.110 gearbox that went in the van was available with a pto :lol:
