When I try to give a light signal with my headlights it will not work i.e. when I pul the lever towards me to signal someone ahead. When I push the lever back it does work. This tells me that the headlight bulbs are fine.

Is there a relay that needs to be replaced, or is there a special fuse for this ?

Thanks,
Idso Brouwer.

1998 G300TDI assume you're referring to the hi-beam, which, when you push back the lever to the front, would stay on permamnently when the headlights are switched on?!

This is likely a problem with the combi light switch (steering mounted) or with its main connector and or wiring.

try some switch cleaner sprayed liberally through the aperture in the column trim where the lever exits from. ensure ignition switched off. work switch repeatedly in all directions. when cleaner has dried, try it out. saved me a new switch on my 560sel.
