Has anybody had a problem with their fuse box burning out? I have had my 230GE (460) for a copule of years and the previous owner had a repair carried out to the burnt out fuse box so now I only have two fuses. I'm thinking of getting this resolved but am wondering how big a job it is/how much it will cost. The only electrical item that does not work at the mo is the heater - but this is probably the motor and not to do with the fuses. Any advice would be appreciated and also if it is worth doing.

Re: Fuse Box Burn Out

Hi is the original fuse carrier still installed? if not there are a lot of wires to identify and one begs the question why did it burn in the first place? I have a complete fuse carrier and relay block from a breaker 460 but that is only the start of your problems.might do best to let well alone because any major loom fire means fitting another loom... not easy even if you have the electrical awareness....if you have a handbook for the vehicle you will find all the relevant details in it
