Autobox won't physically select first gear
Anybody any thoughts on this or had the same issue?
Has something seized?
Hey,
I had the same problem and i think it has to be in 4 wheel drive((i had it in the road gear 4 wheel drive) and it changes then. Not sure why it does this but that solved my problem lol. When you do this though it loses alot of "poke" when footing it so be warned lol

There is a sleeve type arrangement on the selector shaft that can get quite gunked-up (technical term1) and limit the ability to physically select first gear. If you give this a good clean and lubricate you may find that you can select first again. It is No. 4 in that attached diagram
