sprinter engine in 460
I now own two gs one is a long wheelbase 460 left hand drive the other is a short wheelbase 460 right hand drive when ive done it up my wife will have this one> I also own a sprinter 312 which is looking rough but has a good engine and box. I would like to fit this in my left hooker has any one done this conversion. I am a unimog technition of some 20 years so fitting is not a problem just the time to fit it.any advise would be appreciated
Try searching the forum, tanex in new zealand has done this conversion and
merc did it as standard so can't be to difficult with the right bits - sump, intake manifold. the 290 bolts straight to the 230 bell and uses the same radiator.
I'm going to do this myself when I find a good engine

I have a factory spec 290 ( 1998 ), you are welcome to the chassis no if it is any use in sussing out the details with MB
