Ethanol Conversion Kit

Hi all,

Reading a bit on the French forum and it seems that Ethanol is widely available in France and it is a lot cheaper to fill your tank with ...They seems to run their 230 500 and 280 with a 1/3 of 95 and 2 third of Ethanol, all this with an Ethanol conversion Kit...

Any one looked into that over here ?
Any experience ?
Any idea?

Fred,
I dont know how this will help,
and you are probably aware anyway,
but the Brazilians are the world leaders in running on ethanol, both mix and straight.

Maybe you need a chip for the ECU to stop it running lean on Ethanol depends how much mixture adjustment you have available. Ethanol already contains Oxygen so it gives you a double lot of air to go with the fuel charge.

Did you get any further with this.
I have converted my 528 BMW to run on Etahnol. It simply involves connecting a piggy back ECU to your injectors and earthing the unit.
