Just back from Frankfurt. The new G is every bit as good in the flesh as you would imagine, great improvement on G,s of old. Also the new 2007 UK G brouchure/book! is very much more extensive than ever before. The whole show was great with MB having the biggest & best stand. Also of note (sorry to mention it) but the Transformers Hummer H2 rescue wagon was amazeing! Lots of whimpy 4X4s as well. Recommend anyone who visits wear UK pasties on thier feet (crocks) my pedometer clocked up 7.27 miles !

Re: 2007 Frankfurt Motorshow

Peter,
one what ? a G or a hummer? No seriously, funny enough I did ask the most helpfull MB staff, " Do you offer a show discount for show orders? the stiff germanic reply was" Sir ve are here to display d cars unt der brand, der dealer vill help with der diskount" he then placated me with a big bag of MB goodies including, MB guava body lotion, 2 X MB plasters!, SLR poster, C-class 3D postcard, MB puzzle, pen, pencil, invite to MB classic museum ect ect. To reply to your question I am still collating purchase options, EU versus GB ect.

Just in case your tempted by used or discounted euro spec model, it's big money to change the new xenon headlights,(to UK spec) around £3000, so i understand . At a Merc dealer at least.

And Rod,
Dammit,
Could not remember the name of those things
Segways,
were they allowed, or any about ?
Plus
I gather no word or rumours on the reintroduction of RHD models, have the Aussies made their decision / placed an order yet for theirs?
Cheers
Marcus

You can also just order new direct from Germany and at least that way you will get UK spec lights... but seriously change lights... :)
