Special primer and paint needed. (Flexible)

Painted (Or had them painted) several. No probs at all.

Well the local paint supplier told me that there was no system for painting the old 460 ones in metallic... yes you can do solid colours but you cannot put plasticiser in the base coat of the metallic (but you can in the lacquer coat).

So solution seems to be to get new 461 versions in plastic ..and paint those... now searching for the part number here (it is somewhere) having failed on EPC despite searching everywhere!

my advice would be to find a way to make them super-smooth first. i painted mine and its virtually impossible (even with about a million coats) to make the orange peel-finish of the plastic look smooth and shiny. if you take your colour code to halfrauds they will mix you up some rattle cans and sell you some clearcoat to put over the top. use a specific plastic primer.
