Long awaited sunshine today, gave me the chance to complete some work on my G. 8)
A new IP55 waterproof fuse box installed for the auxillary equipment, relays all sorted out and put in order. Also you can see my snorkel project is going ahead as well. I am using 2 baked bean cans (honest  ) to cover the K&N filter .Than to stop over heating cover it with exhaust wrapping.Than using some aluminium ducting through a hole on the inner wing it is ready for the snorkel. I will be using MB snorkel but fitted close to the windscreen as much as poss. Engine is already breathing much more better, performance has improved noticeably.

Baked bean cans are my favourite though. Do you think K&N will like it?

I dont know about the Shish kebab but actually people do cook meat/fish wrapped in aluminium foil and placed on the manifold. You must be carefull not to over cook them though. I have seen it on TV, during a 4x4 adventure. Nice cutlets of lamb will do. I feel hungry now.

A friend with a 280GE Long often puts a special aluminium foil bag with Kleftiko (lamb cooked with potatoes in a clay pot in a clay oven) in the engine compartment to keep warm during his drive home. For all those who know Kleftiko, it is not eaten cold.

Now I can smell that beatiful lamb cooking on my manifold, phew. What you do? Stop the car and start stuffing yourself!
Gentleman enough of this cooking business please, lets talk about G wagens. Huss mate it is all your fault.
But you know what? you can utilize a nice metal box , not very big, on top of the manifold and keep your food in there. Nice and tidy. Just thinking!
But NO, I will carry on with fuse boxes and relays at the moment, then I have the snorkel to sort out, then I need to Dinitrol the car, Then I am also installing a new 12v sockets x4 with a voltmeter on a stainless plate (more of this later) and i am also making a safe/tool box at the rear
to lock up valuables i.e laptops, drills, rifles etc. out of sight and out of reach. If I manage all this may be...I start cooking my Kleftiko on the manifold if not nice pieces of Tuna steaks will do
Bon Apetite.
