Wooden trim re-furbishment.
Drivers door wood trim and section under the instrment panel have sections of lacquer that have started to lift.
For the time being I have sealed them in place with dab's of lacquer where required.
Have any forum members repaired/re-furbished their wooden trims with any success?
Due to the excessive replacement price quoted by MB I would really like to get them repaired to a high standard if economically viable??
Any professional contacts known would also be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Peter
Sounds like a job for a cabinet maker or the like, I heard the centre console part is over £700, so £50 spent on a craftsman to re-laquer all these parts would be well spent. The parts on the doors seem to have very thick laquer compared to the centre bit which could be sanded and oil finished quite easily.

Hi Fixwin,
I'm GWOA newbie and I'm not entirely sure how the forums work. However, I would be very interested to know who I can contact in the UK for repair of the wood veneer on centre console of my 300GES.
Many thanks in advance for any info you can provide.
