Hi,

I am just about to take the plunge and buy a G.

I have had a number of Land Rovers (Series and Discovery) and Range Rovers over the years, and I am looking forward to how the G compares.

I am looking at a couple of 300GD's at present and hope to pick one up at the weekend.

Is there anywhere on this site which gives an idea of values for this model.

I am looking at late 80's early 90's.

I live in the Scottish Borders.

Well I have just confirmed the purchase, so I am sure you will be hearing a lot more from me in coming months :)

It is a 300GD. Now I know these have a reputation for being slow, are there any easy mods to improve peformance?

Welcome to the club, given the choice and budget, I personally would go for a latter model G-Wagen, in the 463 chassis, six cylinder engine.
