vacuum valve on inner wing........
there is a solenoid valve on the inner wing when is it supposed to be open and what does it do? replaced all my vacuum pipes at weekend and i coulnt figure what this valve is for ? vac advance or something?
cheers simon
its the fluffer valve. Did you check the fallopian tubing as well?
:x no help would be better than kyle110,s advice
but maybe the 110 has these workings
got a picture to give us a better idea.
oh that one, dunno
have you traced where the pipes go to it cant be lockers as yours are manual, trace the pipe and give us another clue.
I surely do not the answer, but thinking about it, some of my grey cells must have died in the process, I hope they weren't too many.
I know for a fact, the solonoid valve has three pipes to it. Two of them are in series, in line of the vacuum supply. The vacuum supply, can be interupted by the electrical solonoid, which in turn is controled by a sensor of some sort, I would say, temperature controlled.
There is a third pipe in the picture going under the blue canister. I am thinking that possibly, this attaches to the fuel vapour canister, for the reduction of hydrocarbons to the atmosphere. Sometimes, this third pipe remains unattahed to any thing, hence, open to the atmosphere.
In this case, the pipe is attached to something, suggests to me, the canister, from other systems and principles, fuel vapour is usually recycled into the engine, during a cold to warm up cycle, hence the electrical element to controlled electrically.
Now, that is no bull shit, it is quality bull shit.....
Makes sense? Gentlemen, get a life, do not worry about everything insignificant. No offense intended, boys.
Surely a vacuum line between the manifold and the distributor would be for the ignition advance mechanism. I don't know why there would be a solenoid in the vacuum circuit, though. Why would you need to turn the vacuum on and off?
The blue canister is an auto lubricator plumbed into the front hub swivel which accounts for one of the nylon lines, its a little confusing in the photo.
Im with Malc on this one though, vac advance for the dizzy.
Where is the solenoid wire fed from? ecu?
heres the little bugger!
cheers simon
