Hello all, I have a 1989 300gd. I need to remove the radiator to get a water leak fixed. The job looks easier if I leave the oil cooler rad in place. Can I do this or do they both need to come out as one? Any tips on this job greatly appreciated, thanks Vic b.

Hi Vj just in case your tempted!!! do not attempt to remove the oil pipes from the back of the cooler unless you hold the fitting with one spanner and undo the hose nut with another spanner. the cooler case is made of soft metal therefore the fittings ring out very easily if not held with a spanner

Thanks for the help, got it out and its in poor condition. Cost to re-core £110+vat overnight service. I guess the cheapest option.
