Door seal part nos
Please does anyone have the part nos for W460 front and rear door seals, both sides? I'm absolutely fed up of trying to get the online EPC and that well-known Russian website to reveal this information :evil:
hi malc,the door seals fr and rr for the 460-463 are all the same part number.
all one length,so you have to cut them to the right length.on the old door seals there are small inner tubes tha you must keep and reuse on the new ones.they help align the seals together for a perfect fit.
sorry i dont have the part number but your local merc parts should be able to give you a part number.

Their type IRS 1555EP at the bottom of page 46 of the so-called online catalogue looks pretty close. I can't be certian that the pictire I printed really came out actual size, but if it did, the stuff is very slightly oversize. I'll see if I can get a sample to check properly.

Bad news on this. Although the profile looks about right, is is not a stock item, so they would have to make it to order. The minimum quantity is 100 metres, which is a bit more than I need.

i replaced the seals on my cab in cyprus with seals of a certain model renault made in turkey. it cost me silly money in comparison.
they fitted on perfectly,infact the door needs a firmer push because they are a bit bigger,but they have taken shape now.
i am gonna get a complete roll of it this summer and bring it over to sell to members here.
i will make a small profit and everyone will still save a few bob!
I've not given up on the cheaper alternative route yet!
Please could someone do me a favour? Can you compare the profile below with your door seal and give me your view on whether it would do the job. I reckon it would.

OK, I give up with the blue Landy avatar - on here, that is. I'm still using it on the Mercedes Benz Club forum. 
Excellent - fits nicely and about 1/3 of the price.

Is the only difference between 460 and 463 door seals the extra bit of coloured trim? It's a lot extra to pay for that!
