Has anyone ever been? im planning a trip for 2008 with a friend who has an ex mod 110 so was wondering anybody any knowledge of that part of the world? ive been told a snorkel is a must!
any info appreciated

It very much depends on where you guys intend to go and what time of the year might that be. There are no limits to what those guys in Iceland do to their 4x4s. As an example, check the attached pictures.

we are thinking height of there summer, plus wont be anything to extreme with a 25yr old G and a 15yr old 110. just trying figure cheapest way to get there as ferry seems to be about 900 of our finest pounds!!

Funny....

It's the so called "Tropical Roof" ("Sonnenschutzdach", code D33)

hopefully wont need the tropical roof for mine was more hoping for the hot geysers to lounge in. my mates 110 is the winterised version as its ex falklands it has proper radiators in the back presume to keep the radio gear moisture free
