my apologies if this topic has been looked at.

i run on 255-75-15 pirelli's and will be replacing them with 31x10.50x15 yokohomas.

what are the tyre pressures recommended for normal use on either size of tyre :?:

i always thought that 30 psi fr and 32psi rr was always the norm :?

rgds hus.

on my G there is a little chart inside the gas cap that tells you what pressure to run for what size tires.

Hi Hus,

I would say you are spot on with your pressures. Remenber the vehicle is not small or light and has a high centre of gravity, for normal road use for your vehicle yep thats about as low as I would go, 30psi probally all round.

Mike

Re: tyre presuures.

according to my g wagen hand book 255/75 r 15 tyres should be filled 2.5 bars half laden rear tyres and 3.0 bars full laden rear tyres.
that converts to 36.3 psi and 43 psi.

front tyres are 2.0 bars most of the time-29 psi

personally i put 40 psi all round for my 31 10.5 r 15 tyres

Re: tyre presuures.

Hi Guys,

On good roads I would agree, but on bad roads local driving mostly with an empty vehicle personally I think too hard for comfort, remember (psi) pounds of pressure per square inch inside the tyre.
"I prefer a softer ride myself" as I mostly travel on country back roads and building sites etc.

Regards,

Mike
