A lesson on what not to do...
These pictures are of my frind Freyer and his beloved G yesterday afternoon. Freyer is an specialist in trial motorbikes and he decided to explore a local lane originally built for hand carts that he had riden countless times on his bikes, this time with the G.
On approaching that pass, he noticed that it was too narrow to be crossed in the standard "upside down" manner so he decided to lean on the rock to his left (First mistake). Everything was going OK according to him (he is legendarily optimistic, as I am sure you have noticed by now) until he noticed that his lateral inclination was a tad too much. He stopped, breathed deeply a couple of times and decided that the best course of action was to slowly continue (second mistake). But then he hit the rock marked with a yellow arrow in the fourth picture and this imbalanced the G and threw it against the stone wall at the other side.
Ooops! I forgot about mistake # 0. He was doing this entirely on his own, so he had to ring a couple of friends for help.
 ow...thats a hard recovery ..
my heart bleeds for his G
and i fel sorry for the poor sod :!:
tell him to stick to bikes mate.
i think they got carried away watching "THE LANE FROM HELL!" ian.
only another 1000 post to catch up with me hussy.
still dont know how he did it, if its wide enough to go through on its side, its wide enough to go through on its feet.
i think he overestimated the G AND UNDERESTIMATED THE LAWS OF GRAVITY!
maybe he should have packed out the rut which the right wheels were following?
just an idea from a novice....!
He should have went on a very cold day, the "G" would have been smaller then.

Balls of brass and a prick of steel,
the whole thing powered by a big flywheel.
As I predate hi-powered drycell batteries you understand.
But regarding you slanderous remarks,
Only when sunbathing ( in the summer ) in Donegal.

Epilogue: damages not terminal but a very silly way of damaging your pride and joy!
