Oil consumption, oil in water but no water in oil.....
Hello, this car as confused me to bits as from all previous experience with head gaskets going I have normally had a build up of sludge in the oil cap. However the car has been using a lot of oil as in a 2 hour trip she would use a quarter of a leter sometimes. The car runs clean however extended cranking and condensation on start up however the water level has not gone down.
Car:
300 ge 60000 miles 1991

History:
Fuel pump packed up, quick solder to the relay fixed that
the car has been using oil for the past year however it has not been used
reguarly
I thinking is has to be the head gasket however is there anything else it could be ?
Does the Gwoa have all the part numbers and torque setting for the head gasket job!
My dilema is that I am in spain and I dont speak spanish and you trying explaining what you want to the merc garage ...
Any help would be greatly appreciated I have a week to get this jon done including gettting parts ...

Whereabouts are you?
Why the "week" limit. Are you passing by, on holidays or permanently based in Spain?
Do you intend to do the job yourself or you need the part numbers to make life easier to the garage that you intent to take the G to?

Nope I think she is alright, the car just seems to be suffering from lack of use !

After emtying the coolant ervieling black water and removing the spark plugs which were also black and coked up I think it is safe to assume it is the headgasket... I am also going to replace the valves etc and and do a photo guide ...
