oily deposit around the spark plugs...

i am about to change the leads and spark plugs but noticed the oily wetness around the sparks. :shock:

any ideas :?:

there should not be any oil in the spark plug chambers at all ...must be accumulation over the years or some one has sprayed the leads will insulation lacquer or WD40...clean each chamber before you take the plug out and be VERY VERY CAREFUL when you put the new ones in because if you cross thread them (put them in crooked ) the long shank thread will damage the soft aluminium head as you try to tighten them down.and that's major money and lots of grief to sort out

busbar mentioned on the p3 that it could be a seal leaking :?:

there are rubber seals kept in place by the rocker cover, check the rocker cover bolt torque settings, also the copper washer on the centre bolts?
