Does anyone know how to remove the rear door interior trim on a SWB 1992 463? I am trying to fix an electrical fault with window heater and rear wash wipe. Also need to remove and fix / replace door opening stay which
has broken.

Initial inspection shows no external fixings apart from easy removal of grab handle.

Many thanks.

Re: 463 Rear Door Trim Removal

1) Unscrew door lining at door pillar onboth sides
2) Remove door handle cover and remove door handle
3) Press frame of door operation handle towards the outside of the door and remove (the cover has a hook fixture)
4) Unclip door lining and remove (the lining is only pressed in a number of places)
5) Unfasten centre piece of upper door lining
6) Unscrew window side trim on both sides

Re: 463 Rear Door Trim Removal

Thankyou for your very swift response before.

Finally got round to following your instruction and find there are no visible fixings to unscrew.

Do I have to remove the window surround trim first and if so how?

The wiper motor cover feels like it should pop off but I don't want to pull too hard without knowing direction - all the plastics are pretty brittle. This looks like it may be the key to removing all the rest.

The window trim coming down the sides covers the start of the door trim - once removed I guess it should reveal some screws?!

Any thoughts?

Update 22/3

There were no screws to be found on the door pillars just handles to remove and everything popped off fine. I just needed to be more confident in the first place!
