:) We pay for it in summer, mate! But right now, it's just perfect.

The only other Gs I've seen here are top-of-the-line G55s...

:) :) :) No, I'm from the big icebox - Canada!

And, yes, the top guys love the G500, although for the new gen guys I see the Rangie supercharged is the favourite now.

Stevieboy, if you'd like to get in touch with off-roaders, try http://www.dubai4x4.com

Where the hell are proper off-roaders such as the Jeep Rubicon, the LR Defender or the Mercedes G?

Fortunately the donkey is winning....

It's an insider joke, at the Pajero's expense. Best cars for duning are light and fast - no Defenders (unless SWB and with V8 petrol), best are Jeep Wranglers, SWB Nissan Patrols and Toyota Land Cruisers SWB. G55s are awesome but too expensive for most to bash on the dunes. Diesels I'm afraid can't make it up dunes.

Yes, it looked like a joke....

As for the diesels, you guys have not driven a G400CDI. I have and I tell you, it goes like s*** out of a shovel!

Re: G-Owners in UAE

I've posted on here a little. I'm a Brit living in Dubai and have had my G500 for over 2 years - and yes, it does get taken out in to the dunes and the mountains. There is another good 4x4 club in the UAE www.me4x4.org which is pretty active. I've posted some pictures below, which give a flavour of the diversity.

Mike.
