Hello,
I've been an avid vistor to the site as I have had a thing about G-wagons for a while. I am thinking of getting one, preferably a 463 short wheel base model.
I seen one on ebay: 300 GES for £8.5k+.
Please could you advise on what a fair price for this would be and from the advert it states it has previously been owned by club members.

Any advice and/or information would be welcomed. Is the history of 60k correct?
the owner has lost all paperwork, service history, would this be an issue with resale, etc?

PS: also what type of mpg would the 300 ges get?

Welcome to the club!
i guess £6000 could get you into a 463 but be prepaired for minor problems.CHECK UNDER THE CARPETS FOR WATER INGRESS!!
If you check the "buying advice" section you wil get alot of ideas and answers to your questions.
G class center had a few nice 463 swb's,hot66 has a nice one too!
buckalec also has good resources.

Negotiate if they can't find the service book and ask what documents they do have with it (warranty documents from when it was last sold by a main dealer are useful as they only give a warranty on cars with full mb service history) you can check the mileage on these and mots to build up a bit of a picture of the car.

do a hpi check as well, the one you are after looks a nice example, I recall this car some 8 years ago. MPG, on a run at 60mph expect 22MPG, round town 16-17MPG. 300 is a very smooth engine, sweet if looked after.
