Hello I would like to thank all the people on this site who have given me advise on my search for a G Wagon.

I have found it impossible to find a G wagon I cant affoerd a G55 but i dont want a 1980s G wagon either, there is just nothing on the market like a 1996 300 ges or a swb 290 tbd for about £20000 or a bit more for that great G wagon.

I only have on hope and i would like your vies do you think MB will ever produce G wagons (not G55 foe lottery winners) in RHD once again thank you for all your help exspecialy fixwin if ever you need a favour I am at your servioe.

Regards

Jack :D

You will have a long search - they stopped making RHD 463s in 1996 (exclusing G500s) and even then I have only ever seen 1 RHD 463 newer than 1994 for sale in the past 5 years. It was £14K.

If you want a 461 you might have a fraction more luck - but still you will be hard pressed to get one for around £20K. There is a RHD 1999 G290TD for £29,000 at wheelhouse. At which point I've seen some SWB RHD G500s at about that price too.

hey, hey,i drove a few 463's last october at a dealer and ended up buying my 460 280GEL with lpg for a premium and it still has minor niggles but no major faults and i tell you something,my 280 may be spartan in comparison to the 463's i looked at but it drives better,is far,far cleaner and for the money in comparison far better value (literally half the price of a 463 i originally wanted!!)
dont give up jack, just wait and see,and say watch this space............

if your on about the blue one, yes that is a very nice g, hes having trouble selling it too. worth a look, and if your worried about the fuel go lpg, it might be an outlay but doesnt take long to earn money back! i keep seeing more and more previous shape range rovers up in town with the lpg conversions. thing is they need to save the money for repairs, my friend now phones up the garage and asks if he can borrow his Range Rover as its spending so much time there!

for 30K, my choice would be G500, and LPG kit, or might think about a deposit on a bungalow.

I would stop messing about looking for late RHD and get a LHD. There is one for sale on here, '97. I have a RHD and LHD and have no preference when driving them.

£20.000 ....i would buy Bruce's 300td and Cliff's 460... and a trailer to use both to tow each other... :D :D

Joking aside..i am driving right hand drive and left hand drive every day...and it is not a problem at all...you get use to it....

Same here I have LHD and RHD feel no differece drive both daily.

However in each of my car I keep the easy reach, this comes very handy at parking lots etc, its folding so stays on the door side. Cost is under 10 GBP.

We have got a Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi in LHD and my RHD 300 G Wagen and I don't have an issue with swapping from one to the other apart from the fact that the Ram is a pile of shit and much more thirsty lol

even though we will all hate you for it, buy Bruce's. i know a lot of as would buy that if we have the money, its more powerfull than teh 270cdi you get in modern g's, has everything you desire on it for comfort and looks superb!

If you are looking for a RHD then they are few and far between. I think mortinson will tell you there is probably only single digit amounts of them in the UK.

But keep in mind that they are also 461s, so if you're looking for the plush interior of a 463 you won't find it here.

There is a LWB on wheelhouse (with details on autotrader) at the moment for a touch under £30k.
