Wiper Spindles - Mercedes out of stock?
My local source of Mercedes parts has just told me Mercedes are completly out of RH wiper spindles  There are non in Germany & they have no plans to remanufacture. They do have LH spindles though.
They are now only able to supply the wiper mechanism assembly, which includes both spindles and the linkage. This is circa £120. As far as we can gather there are only 17 of these kits left.
For the above we have specifically asked for the RHD spindles.
Has anyone been able to source the RH wiper spindles or should I just buy the complete assembly?
See this thread for a lot of valuable information:

OK. P/Ns in the picture attached are (for a RHD G):
# 39 (LHS spindle): A0008208146 (listed as € 23.31)
# 32 (RHD spindle): A0008208046 (listed as NOT AVAILABLE)
as per the Russian MB Club site: http://www.mbparts.ru/
# 26 (Complete assembly) is A4638200241 and is listed as € 112.76
Your MB dealer just might be right but I would never give them any credit. Try a different dealer. I found Mr Steve Greenwood at MB Tony Purslow Guildford (01483 560751) to be most helpful. Let us know what you find.
try Mayfair Mercedes, they are more clued up on the G as they import them still. I cant see them being out of complete stock surely!?!
Got mine last month all be it that got two n/s!
Carried out an easy mod and used the ball off my old unit.
Would try to source the spindles only, the kit I am guessing comes with actuator and slave drive rods etc. You simply won't use them so it's a waste of money?
Trying to get a delivery date or availability out of MB is a joke so good luck!
On the other hand it may appear on the face of it that the parts are no longer available? If so the £120 is money well spent.

Peter
I think they should remanufacture as: they are selling RHD G55s; and there are lots of RHD Gs about which obviously need new parts as MB have run out. I would make a complaint.
What about trying puch? I bet they are common with something else in the MB / Puch range.

Nice one, Dan.
Just try finding a Puch Garage
I know a couple of Puch garages in Switzerland but everytime I have tryed to source parts from them (admitedly Puch badges) they tried to charge some 200% over the Mercedes price!
Unfortunatley, not a good idea. Good try, though
How stiff should the spindles be?
Mine look too unrusty to be old and have fresh plastic caps so must be new.. but I can barely hold the body while turning the crank (while in bits). My doors had all seized so I am wondering if the spindes were going that way too ... seem way too stiff to me.
Ps. new spindles out of the box are pretty stiff until you turn them a few times, I think this is normal
anyone know wether the assembly is an easy fit or wether it is easier to tackle the spindles individually?
TBH I was thinking I might just order the complete kit and just use the spindles
