Can anyone advise how to get top nut off , or bolt (lower one is hex bolt) of starter motor for removal? Do i remove manifold or inside exaust pipe or both?
This is surely the only way but if anyone can advise that would be so much help , merry christmas to you all. ANDY

Hello Andy,
You have not mentioned what model your vehicle is. 8) I am going to deduce it is a 230 GE, that is the only car I can re-call as having a manifold, meaning inlet manifold and exhaust on the one side, and then, being on the same side as the starter motor.
I think a standard or shallow 17mm, hexagonal socket ( or allen head in a socket drive) in 1/2" drive, attached to a three section universal-joint (although, you can use the two piece u/joint, one with socket end and wobbly section protruding from it, I would avoid it).
To the u/joint attach a long drive extending to about a 30" long.
This will give you the necesssary leverage you need and easyier working angles to execute your task.
 If I have the wrong vehicle all together, the principle is the same.

Regards

oops! SORRY, I do not have much G500 or 500G experience. But reckon the principle is still the same.
