All military Gs made from 1979 were numbered as 461. The 460 VINs were only for the civilian Gs, untikl the discontinuation of these in 1990, when all "utilitarian" Gs, civilian or military, became 461s.

WOLF means Wolf in German and it is how the German Army Geländewagen is nicknamed
