Re: TYRE PROBLEMS

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of cheap price is forgotten.

There is a lesson in here somewhere I think.

Firestone cutback on their quality control and materials some years ago with their 4x4 tyres and look where that got them.

One other point.

If you look at the first link Merv has on his message towards the end. Look at all the brand names that are affected by this. Same green tyre(before it goes into the mould to get its pattern on) yet some people will swear by one brand of tyre over the other.
Funny when so many are made in the same factory using the same materials just going into a different mould and when they they come out you can get charged vastly different prices for basically the same thing.
( its what tyre companies do with excess production capacity)
What a wonderful world we live in!!!

Tyreman

Re: TYRE PROBLEMS

B F Goodrich All Terain 50/50 tyre

B F Goodrich Mud Terain off road tyre only

Michelin Synchrone 25/75 excellent on road tyre

All above will do on average 40,000 miles +

But as I see from this forum over the months past, I am preaching to the converted for the most part.

We are independant dealers with no affinity to any particular brand and we actively sell all brands sourced from the cheapest suppliers we can find.

Any other questions, feel free.

Regards,

Mike
