Hello,
Could anyone tell where the coolant thermostat is on a 463 300D please?

What sort of job is it to replace?

Cheers,
Russ

Re: Thermostat

It is part # 67 in the attached picture.

You have to undo the hose that connects with #81, dismantle #81 and you will have access to #67.

Very easy I would think

Re: Thermostat

Cheers Jesus,

Thought that looked to be the probable location but didn’t want to start dismantling without being positive.
May get round to it tomorrow, will let you know how it goes.

Re: Thermostat

Hi Russ,
Good to meet you again last weekend. We had a great week around Dolgellau. Lots of walking
What's wrong with your thermostat? I have a new standard one at home if you want it. I replaced mine with the turbo one which opens earlier and faster than the standard one. 80c rather than 85. runs cooler
It's easy to change. Remember there is a a set position to fit it back to. There is a notch arrangement

Re: Thermostat

OK job done, dead easy 2 bolts and didn’t need to disconnect the hose from the stat. housing.
Roly,
Thanks for the offer. It was running cool, 70 to 75ish. Now runs bang on the mark between 80 and 120.
