I want to buy G wagon.
Actualy I have found one black G 280 (1989) A/T with TNG installed.
I tried it yesterday but it has some problems starting. Also I was confused buy seller telling me to put gearknob into positione where no. 4 is written, is this normal? (I was driving BMW 740 and it was always in D position)

Guy is asking 8000 euros for it. Is it good price?
Whats the maintainance cost for this G wagen?

It's not at all dodgy... it's just the way the it should be. The grid of the automatic gears in the W460 is numbered P-R-N-4-3-2-1 as opposed to the P-R-N-D-3-2-1 of both the 461 and the early 463 automatics

Maintenance costs are rather higher than those of a saloon car but nothing too much if you don't do much offroading.

Sorry but I don't know anything about prices in that part of the world, though.
