Maybe not a 110,but a Range Rover (I don't have a problem with the name,or the vehicle),a lot heavier. Check out the Tourers Gallery photographs, a slideshow,on the Brixmis website,to see how it should be done!

N.B. This one didn't cost thousands to repair,it kept driving.
All the driver got was a B******ing, for showboating.

Re: Airborne

The reason why it costs £1,000s to fix.... look at how it lands.

I doubt that there are many stock vehicles that could survive unscathed landing with all their weight on one wheel - especially a front one.

I doubt if it's a MB test, it would more likley be registered in Stuttgart "S" than Dusseldorf "D"

Re: Airborne

A few months ago I took my 230 for some unplanned flying lessons. I ramped clear over a a gravel road, I'm not sure of the hight, but to be able to cross a 3m gravel road it would have had to be quite high. I had just fitted new springs and shocks and was actualy taking it for a HARD test drive. I landed on a slope on the other side without ANY damage. I think I was lucky, but if it was my Disco I would have had to pick it up with a shovel.

Re: Airborne

I'm guessing -- but the 230 having the lightest engine should "fly" and land better.
Also a lot to do with the topography ie on the ( almost ) flat should be a lot more forgiving than perhaps landing whilst meeting rising ground

Re: Airborne

And I landed on a "down hill", it must have helped.
