just been looking through the spec sheet of the gl 420cdi and im wondering why this hasnt been put in the g, the performance figures in the gl are amazing (143mph/7.6seconds 0-60) and it weights 2.5tonnes!

anyone able to enlighten me?

Probably physically too big. They already had to change the frame to make the 400 fit.

Besides the G 320 is no slouch - 0-100 in 8.8s which is faster than a G500. Not sure what the top speed is but I think roughly the same.
