New project for the winter.... non-runner. (The one on the trailer for those that would be facetious!!)
The G500 wheels will be up for grabs soon, to Forum members only.... watch this space (well, members classified space really :oops: ).

The G illness has no cure! All the sl's or 55 clk's just dont compare to the passion of G bug!!Nice looking trucks my friend, that 460 has re-lit my ambition to facelift my red cab again.Good luck and look forward to seeing the end result.

The LHD G is for my house in America...... fed up renting boring saloons. Still only a possibility... not yet the proud owner as its in the "shop" as we speak.
Will arrange to meet sometime next week and exchange those parts and $$!!

If you are sending a G to USA presumably you have researched about registration?
The US chaps are always talking about how it is : impossible, expensive, illegal etc

I agree with you mate, the 463 upgrade looks cool.

Back goes a 3ooGD engine, the inside is awful, so lots to do there.
No intention of holding onto her, sticking with 463's from now on as promised.
Will sell her on once fixed. Had been running fine prior to previous owner not checking the oil level. Likely to leave the nose as is, I agree it looks the part.

do you think you could get a 220cdi engine in there? just a thought, always thought that would be a nice economical but strong conversion
No reason why not from a size perspective, but cost, electronics and sheer mods make it unfeasible.
I'll sell you the shell though if you want to give it a go!! :D
im going to give that a good think. i would say yes right away but the change to apply for medicine at uni means its uni is going to cost me more!
nope, thought i could source myself a nice cheap cdi engine from a family friend but he says not enough people crash them! would love to see the finished project though, what are you going to do with the inside?

Pretty much sold now, already.
Full 463 bumper sets, end caps etc front and rear to come. (+ wing mirrors). All clear lens gone too.
Will place in members classified first, so watch that space.

Good to hear from you. See you in person I hope at Richards do in Wales this month.
The SL is still my baby, can be seen on even the coldest nights whizzing along with the roof down... sad really :oops:
The SWB is an old 460 that blew its diesel engine. The previous owner had made an attempt at "463ing" the outside... hence my interest in the parts screwed onto her... wheels\mirrors\bumpers etc etc.
With the help of Peter this end, will get her running again with a donor engine and restore her as best I can to 460 standard trim.
Best of all, she is now registered in Southern Ireland and the duty has been paid. Lots and lots of work needed, the pictures don't really show the condition, but hopefully will be worth it.
