Hi Simon,

I’m up for that. However things are pretty busy for us until Nov.

I’m sure we could drum up a few others as well.

Any time is good for me Simon. I start a new job in two weeks, so I'm even free during the day. We can show you a few things on the estate before we set off.

There aren’t any ‘hairy’ green lanes in our immediate area that I know of, the roughest you'll drive is probably around my house.

Simon

I have been a member of the club since I got my G six years ago. I have had my subs back time and time again with helpful advice and assistance.

Joining the club is money well spent in my view.

Hi Simon,
If you are free on Nov. 5th these people http://www.muddymillers4x4club.co.uk/index.asp are holding a trial near Chirk North Wales. They are an easy going bunch, mixture of normal road tax vehicles and purpose built trial vehicles.

I plan to give it a go, could be a laugh, it’s 15+ years since I’ve tried this type of stuff and a lwb G isn’t exactly an ideal thing to use. If you fancy coming along for a laugh let me know.

No, where does it start and end? Is it easy, i.e. G500 or hard, i.e. G280?

Easy but not G500 territory.

By the way did the trial on Sunday. Apart from the course being too tight for a LWB even with shunts (plus me not having the knack of using the throttle to steer) didn’t embarrass myself or the G. Interesting how others had to use loads of revs / momentum but with lockers you could go so steadily. OK some were just berserk but even the really skilled guys were having to be so much more aggressive than me.
