Not a G but thought some of you maybe interested in the first of our new fleet of Unimogs. They get changed at around 10yrs. Amazing bits of kit, will go where a LR110 won’t look at and less land damage (tyres deflated / inflated from in the cab)
Not exactly a toy winch stuck on the front is it :D

Strange you should say that Mark, yes there is.

These trucks are actually used to work on live high voltage conductors. The booms are insulated to allow the guys to grab hold of and work on 11,000 volt conductors. Pretty skilled job and they are disappearing rapidly to Australia or New Zealand at the moment.
So I’m not joking when I say if there is anyone out there who is interested or knows of someone who does this and wants a job PM me :D

PS. if you are really sad I've got loads more unimog p$rn

Re: Unimog - Off Topic

Must ask the question, about how much do they cost? I would guess they are worse than Gs when new!

Re: Unimog - Off Topic

Our old ones will be going to auction soon. I'll put a post on the forum when it happens.
I've seen people convert them in to camper vans which look really impressive, not much use for nipping down to tescos's in though :D

Re: Unimog - Off Topic

The other day when I was on the train I saw a fleet of 3 BT Unimogs parked alongside the railway. Brand new and not a spec of dirt on them.

Looked very much like in the pics that Russ posted and with the double baskets but with BT logos on the doors.
