graz factory tours etc?
anyone got a link etc to find out more about visiting the factory?
I guess they don't know/have the contact?
Might I suggest you ringing them or faxing them asking for details of factory tours, I am sure they'll welcome the inquiry.

Ps. I got this from their website, www.magnasteyr.com
yes a few of us have been, well worth it but they are now restricting these tours I believe. You would need to contact David Watkins, our assistant Chairman. He will point you in the right direction.
I aspire, 1 daaaaaaay, to visit the birthplace of Gs
yes they have but via the german g club.
On the last factory visit, we were told it would be the last one. But that was before MB decided to keep the G in production, so things may have changed. I'll find out.
Maybe something we can discuss at the AGM.
Factory tours start again in September, tours are normally done with a German speaking guide. It may be possible to organise a tour with an English speaking guide, but it all depends on numbers.
There is virtually no chance of the drive up the Schockl though.
Everything depends on how many people will come on the trip. Please add to this thread if your interested.
You won't believe this... David, Howard, Ian, Mark and the rest of you guys will recall that during the organizing of last year's visit to Graz I, with a very heavy heart, decided not to go because I was about to lose my job due to the company I was working for being bought by the competition (it was simply a matter of not wanting to spend money when I did not know where that stuff was going to come from going forward). Eventually I lost my job in the UK but was offered another one by the Group in Spain. The thing is that you guys think about organizing another trip and we have sold he companies in Spain and I am going to be made redundant AGAIN!!!!!!!! :(
I just hope that 3rd time will be lucky!
In any event, Mark, I still treasure the SDP book that you sooo kindly brought back from Graz for me!
Cheers mate!
Il definately go this time round keep us posted
The GWOA has done a number of factory tours along with drives on the Shockl Test Track - you need to be a member of the GWOA or the German club however to participate as the tours are not open to the public.
Nicholas, Elvis, this has not been forgoten. David has asked the question and is still waiting an answer.
Organising a factory visit is easy enough, it's getting the trip up the Schockl that is tricky. The factory are under increasing pressure to reduce their use of the Schockl.
Like i say, the question has been asked, the initial response is positive but nothing is 100% yet.
I will post here as soon as i have the details.
So Elvis,
club membership has suddenly become worthwhile then !
Marcus
PS
I may take the opportunity to visit the factory again, if a trip is being organised.
Marcus
no-one been to graz then????
