strata florida today
made the 'gulley' half way along strat in a LWB!! for those who dont know it (geading north) the entry is a 1:2+ and is about a 7' drop in , then you have a 6 or 7' flat then a helluva climb !! the pictures dont show it but the height of the road out is above my roof and you reach that very quickly!! maybe 60 degrees + (and solid slippy bedrock!) other pic is lane SE of strata florida , had a 2' deep rut on the side of it , mates challenge 90 failed where i succeeded!! :D [img][/img][img][/img]
Your Kingyness,
good photos the approach angle is hard to change but the hitch could be replaced with a Nato.
We camped on strata on the last trip and got eaten alive by midges wont do that again in the summer .
good to see the strata again. the welsh 2day goes through there, ive got some videos somewhere ill load them up. didnt get to see it this year cause of exams.
do you have any trouble from the green toes getting access or is it easy?
Tom
put it this way - approach angle was pants- smacked bumper on rocks and had to 'push' bumper /front end of car up first foot of rock , then ground out tow bar on climb up!!
