last weekend saw me co drive for Paul again teaming up with Tony baskill is his G. This happened on the first section of the day, tony entered the same section after us and broke a cv and diff lock so retired. We came 3rd but if it weren't for me phoning for a pizza and not looking at what my driver was doing we would have come first.

Caption required for the photo people please. yes that is me on the side.

heres one for starters,

"Is that my pizza arrived tony" :P

Re: oppps

or "Paul I can see your house from here"

The best yet is "Quick fill the brook"

The good thing was it did not roll down the hill, he was turning round in the "V" to go back the way he came, the clutch would not disengage when he turned right so it kept climbing the bank and over she went, no damage as such, just his pride.

it was a G wagen that winched him back you will be pleased to know

Re: oppps

Why is the back of the diff painted? I have noticed army landrovers have them painted white. Does anyone know the reason for this?

Re: oppps

its a diff guard, to protect the diff. But the answer to your question is the army painted diffs are white, for night convoy when the vehicle behind has a small convoy light lighting up the paint on the diff on the vehicle in front, so as not to attract any enemy.

Re: oppps

Actually the small light is situated above the diff, underneatrh the vehicle shining down onto it,so that the vehicle behind can see it whilst driving without lights.

Ha Ha! I think that one does it - the look on Ian's face is certainly along the lines of "What? Piss here?"
