Hello folks,
Having recently acquired a 1999 G300 Turbo Diesel from Germany, can anyone tell me where's the best place I could get my hands on both a vehicle handbook and workshop manual - in English ?!!

Re: Handbook & Manual

For the workshop manual becoming a paying member of the GWOA.

As for the user's handbook maybe Mark or David Watkins have one for your G... they both have or had a G300TD.

Thanks Mortinson,
I am a fully paid up member, therefore who can I contact regarding a workshop manual ?
I will speak to Dave when I see him next, thanks again.

Re: Handbook & Manual

I Haven't been able to get an English owners manual. I was told that if there was enough demand, MBUK would have them printed.

Re: Handbook & Manual

Thanks Mark, did MBUK say what numbers we would be talking about for them to go to print ? Other than that, do you know if the G300 TD was sold in any English speaking countries (other than the UK) ie; USA or Australia ?

Thanks for that. I have contacted this company quite a few weeks ago, but I've had no reply so far.

Re: Handbook & Manual

Yes Fred, It's been some weeks now and nothing ! I'll resend the e-mail and try again. It's such a shame as Harald advertises that many manuals, that I'm sure he's got exactly what I'm looking for !
Cheers Gavin

Re: Handbook & Manual

I think that the GWOA should get the service of supplying workshop manuals up and running again... I remember all these being available to members for some £ 15, whereas the cost of buying them from Harald is too dear!

As for the Owner's manual, I am afraid that the one for the G300 Turbodiesel is extremely difficult to get... in the meantime perhaps you can make do with these scans of the earlier 463 G:

Re: Handbook & Manual

Thanks for those websites Mortinson, I shall keep persevering with Harald though ! Someone did say that MBUK would contemplate reprinting manuals if there was enough interest, but I couldn't confirm what kind of numbers we were looking at ?

Re: Handbook & Manual

I seem to remember that at the AGM this year, the subject of workshop manuals was briefly mentioned. Did`nt one of the commitee members say something along the lines of there were none available in the club. I hope someone can clarify this.
I know they used to be available from Mike Lily who was? still is? tech rep.
