German G club annual meeting
German G Club annual meeting is on 16th - 18 th June near Hannover, any one fancy a trip.
Bill, what is format of meeting?, when are you planning to leave, what is your nearest airport, I will look at flights in the meantime.

Hi Jesus. that was a great event!!!! I wont forget the Kompressor trip around the Underturkheim race circuit ever! Heinrich was in his element and the G was superb!
I did have a call from Egbert asking if i would like to attend? He was surposed to be sending me an English translation of the event and its preceedings? I was hopeing that Richard Setchim would join me in a convoy to the event in his new RHD Kompressor, but he is otherwise engaged with work. From what i can gather it will be a simlar event to the Merklingen event food, beverages goodies AGM and a good get together! I would love to join but work has to take priority these days, there are other events DVD day holidays etc which i have already commited to. I will let the event organiser know that there will be an English contingent attending, How many? Just to make sure they are prepared with food etc.

My best bet appears to be Dublin to Hamburg ( Lubeck ) gets me in to Lubeck 15.15, I can get a train to Hannover. Return flight at 15.40 Monday
Anyone any suggestions for accomodation ?

Marcus, I have just received the good news that the BRIXMIS G is going to be permanently in my charge, The Imperial War Museum has decided that the hard work of restoring it would be wasted if were to be a gate guard.
So my plans have to change as they have asked that the debut display is at the Duxford military vehicle show on the 18th next. Now if you want to come to that it is just up the road from Stanstead and is a great museum of Air and land war fare vehicles I am sure we can arrange a G to pick you up and take you back.

I had been looking at taking the Puch to the German meeting, ferries are a bugger to coordinate though, it will have to keep to next year.

OK Marcus, Ryan Air do a lot of flights in to Birmingham too if you want to come over. I will be over there on the weekend of 24th/25th for the Mondello Park F3 GT Grand Prix. I have some VIP passes if you want to go.

Flights too expensive for Duxford on the 18th.
I have no particular interest in the F3 GT, but I may pop down if no one else has a use for the tickets. :oops: ( I should be )

If I were to go I would Ferry out of Harwich on night of 14th arriving Hook of Holland am 15th then a direct drive across Holland and central Germany to Hannover return would be a reverse starting back on the 19th. you could get a Ryan or Squeezy jet in to Dortmund/Dusseldorf or Bremen I can collect you on the way through.
