Hi,

I could do with some advice on how easy are they to fit, how expensive and where can I get some from...are there differing types, sizes and materials. Sorry for so many questions but I love the G and want it nice and tidy for my wifes birthday and she doesn't yet know I have it.

Cheers

Daley

Re: Wheel Arches

Hi Daley

The original arches are made of a "Rubbery" compound, stiff, yet flexible. They are a Kings ransom as an original part from your dealer. 2nd hand originals change hands for £350-£450 depending on condition.

1) Alternative are Fibreglass replicas, rigid and wont take a knock as well as the originals, but for everyday looks, hard to tell the difference. If you intend to colour code, these are yet more preferrable. Expect to pay £200-£275 for a full set of 4. I've fitted 3-4 sets to date. Couldn't be easier.

2) Alternative is to fit alloys that are narrow enough to sit below the arches and not protrude beyond the bodywork. This will give an immediate and positive improvement to its look. (See members classified, I just happen to have a set!!).

Good luck, hope wifey is happy with her.

I guess one thing worth mentioning as well is that you WILL have to drill (numerous holes) through your body to fit them.

Sorry not sure about that, but I think whether you have sidesteps and certain rear bumper end caps they might not fit spot-on,you might have to cut a bit
