Hi all, my 280GEL has just failed MOT because the twit in the test centre thought there was too much play in the steering box, have any of you fine people had similar problems and is there a frugal way to fix a steering box problem as replacing the unit with a new one may require the funding of a NASA Shuttle launch. Any words of wisdom may help so if you have any ideas please??????

regards

steering box can be adjusted via the hex nut at the top. lift front onto axles stands and undo locking nut, then turn nut out until you feel the steerig bind then turn it in slightly until the bind disappears, an exchange box is around £250 with del/col, and well worth it.
