Re: G-Class Center

Can't recommend Jeff and Merv highly enough, sorted my 'bag of spanners' car's suspension in the summer at a very resonable price.

Lovely guy's who will gladly let you witter on, while supplying coffee and biscuits.

You know when you've out stayed your welcome, they hand you the keys to one of the many G's and say 'take her out for a test drive, don't hurry back'!

Re: G-Class Center

I may endure the rath of Kann for what I am about to say.

Two weeks ago I rang G class centre and spoke to one of the guys about some parts that I needed urgently, about 5 different items alltogether.

One of the parts being the Clutch master cylinder which I mentioned on this forum so check the dates will match up. This was urgent or I had to walk. This person took all my details and I was to be contacted by email.
Two days passed no contact .
Rang again in the morning spoke to Merv who was very apologetic and promised better things when the other lad got in, another email due. No sign, Got cylinder off local robbing MB stealer as it was urgent.
Rang to say no longer required cylinder and enquired about the other parts, again promised an email as soon as confirmation was recieved as to delivery.
Now it is one week since last spoke to G class centre or heard anything from them.
Please dont read this as a bitchy comment, its not, and if I was living anywhere near them they probally would be my first choice of destination. I have met Merv and I believe him to be honest and fair, but , I also expected more from his service and feel let down. I also offered to arrange carraige myself to speed things along. I was a genuine customer, not a timewaster/tyrekicker(I excuse the phrase)
If this listing does nothing else it may fore warn others if they want something from there to keep on their case to get it. If this sturrs a hornets nest there, so be it, things may improve to the benifit of all, trade and customer alike.

Sincerely,

Mike

PS I am also in the "trade" and this was hard to write. Oh, and yes I would ring them again for parts, might not be very welcome after this I think. Overall, I think they are a good bunch just need to pull up their socks a bit in the customer service dept.

PPS I do have the names of the people I dealt with but do not regard it as fair to mention them, I have mentioned Merv as the buck stops with him.

Re: G-Class Center

I wouldn't worry about making a negative comment, as we do not do enough of that as a nation, and a forum gives you that privalige. Its a bit like ebay, you can post negative and positive, but you make your own mind up if you wish to deal with them in future. I still buy parts from Devon4x4 and there history of customer service is not great, but then there stacked out with work, so I give them the benefit of doubt.

I did start this post highlighting the G class centre, but at today's date i have experienced the other side of their services.
I have paid for a couple of head light back at the AGM time and still have not received either mail or phone call or parts.
Will definetly not give out ther number......
Fred. (if you read me Merv ?? or Jeff ??)

Hi Hus,

Your comments either good or bad would be most welcome, if even to give a more balanced view as most since the original posts are heading towards the negative side.

Fair or unfair?

Regards,
Mike

Re: G-Class Center

Its 2 years since I wrote that last post. I have not had any further dealings with them .
Any problems or parts required that have occured since have mostly been dealt with through the Forum or parts sourced through the trade.

Neither have I noticed any postings about them recently on the forum but maybe thats my eyesight.

Regards,
Mike
