So far i have stripped off the front wings and the inner wings too my son said it looks like a hotrod..
I have also taken off the rear lights as i am renewing the rear quarters and replacing with 463 lights...where does all the dirt come from they were packed tight with a very fine soil and damp it was too how can i stop this from happening again is there any kind of access i can build into it.
Does anyone know how to free up a rear door hinge it is very stiff and wd40 doesnt do it. is the pin removable?
Thanks

Re: Rear quarters

Hot water and washing up liquid whilst working it open and closed. Way better than any penetrating oil.

Maybe an idea to oil it when you’re done though :D

It was so stiff it broke away from the body. last night i soaked it in "coka cola"
this morning it was alot more free. I was told that coke is a better rust eater than anything else so it is left in tonite too. I will try the fairy liquid route though thanks

The two rear light box's are connected by the section acting as the bottom door rail. If you turn your head and look up under the section you should see two or three plastic grommets. If you take these out you should be able to flush the rail and box sections with a hose ( I hope Thames Water doe's not supply your part of France). Then you can fill with Waxoil etc.

Send me a list of iteams required such as hinges. will go over to Bill,s and get you a bag of bits
